"BB" continues guiding Mei to the super calculator underneath Shiva. When they reach the core, they find out the possibilities of the future keeps growing and have to search which future is the best possible future. Meanwhile, Yun, Haberu, and Goro have met up with Kanoko about the activation of the orthogonal diagonalizer. Salunga is on the move again and Godzilla is cocooned in red dust once more.
There is not much to say about episode 12 other than it was an okay episode overall. Everything is trying to fall into place for the final episode next week.
I think the most interesting part is with the moths. They all have Mothra's classic design. I believe that we have not seen Mothra yet, but we will in the final episode. I think these are fairy Mothras that will all form into Mothra. I also found interesting is that these moths even started appearing when the song started playing from the super calculator. Could the song and the moths be linked some how just like how Mothra is summoned by a song? It's possible. Either this is leading up to Mothra's appearance next episode or the moth is only an easter egg and they just happen to have Mothra's design.
Godzilla is cocooned in the red dust again, but for what reason? Could there be a fifth form beyond "Ultima" or is Godzilla doing something to the planet with the red dust that causes him to be inside this cocoon? There was a rumor that Godzilla will have a fifth form that "will make Shin-Godzilla look tame." I don't know how true this rumor is yet until we see the final episode. However, I will say that it would be odd that there is even a fifth form despite "Ultima" is supposed to be his ultimate form.
I also do like how the Rodans have now learned to back off when Jet Jaguar is around. There is this chase scene where Kanoko and the JSDF were being chased by the flock of Rodans not realizing they drove through their territory. Then suddenly, Jet Jaguar jumps in, instantly kills two of them, and the Rodans flew off without a second thought. So they have learned not to mess with the robot.
Next week is the season finale. My hope is that the final episode ends with something amazing. I don't want an awesome moment or a five second fight. I want a full blown fight between Godzilla and another monster (maybe Mothra or Salunga) and have them fight it out for most of the episode. I know that this is a more story-driven series rather than the usual monster vs monster formula, but the story has lost me long ago. The characters are dull and boring with no emotion and the story is too contrived with science that not a whole lot of people are going to get only to conclude that the monsters are from another universe (at least that is how I understood it).

Finally binge watch ep 1-12 in anticipation of the finale, the science stuff is confusing and exhausting but my theory is Yun Arikawa IS Michiyuki Ashihara, he somehow went to the past, set up the Observatory, the bones in the basement is the bone of Godzilla Ultima, so Godzilla dies but to ensure that happen, he went to the past and became Ashihara to leave clues and prediction for our main characters to find.
