Breaking News On The Future Of The Monsterverse Series

On Friday, Toho Kingdom interviewed Legendary's Executive, Alex Garcia, on the set. One of the questions that was asked was about the Monsterverse series and what will happen after 2020. Well, we got our answer on the fate of this series. The answer that people have been waiting for is predictable (at least I think so anyways), but it's something official.

This is what Alex Garcia had to say, "It's one brick at a time, each piece has to be as good as it can be, so right now it's all focused on this (Godzilla: King Of The Monsters and Godzilla vs. Kong) BUT could there be? Yeah, that's the hope if the movies turn out really well."

There you have it. The official answer is that it all depends on how well these two movies do. Also it sounds like they are interested in doing more and they don't want to rush in making these movies. I think this is a smart move considering how they rushed the DC comics movies when they made Batman V Superman and Justice League just to catch up to Marvel's The Avengers movies. So overall, the series just depends on how well these movies do. If these two films do well then maybe we might see monsters like Anguirus or any other monster from TOHO. Until that time when they announce another status update on this series nothing is for certain, but it does sound like they are interested.
